I'm Mate. Twenty-five years in IT. In the last year I generated more code and built more meaningful products than in the twenty-five years before, and I no longer write a single line of code myself.

What I did before this

Fortune 500 names and one-person shops alike. The job was never really the technology. It was getting to the real problem and making the person on the other side happy with what they got.

AI changed what one person can do on their own. Work that used to need a team and a budget, somebody can now do in an afternoon, and on the show I get to watch it happen. So instead of delivering the solution for you, I help you build your own.

I have never stopped learning, so I am usually a few months ahead of the person sitting next to me, not ten years. Hungarian originally, in Brisbane now by way of New Zealand, with my wife and three kids.

I love it. People sit down and talk about how they actually built the thing. That's the format I wanted: a conversation, not a lesson.

Find Your Own Truth

I'm old enough to have read it, an old Shadowrun novel. The title stuck with me more than the story ever did. Find your own truth: that is the whole job, and it took AI to make it possible.

Dial It Countdown A countdown timer that lives on a Stream Deck dial, so the clock for a three hour session is under your hand instead of on another screen.

Genie Two prompts you paste, and Claude Code is installed and set up on your computer.

Rider Checks the website you built with your agent, its SEO and the rest, with the reason beside every finding. It never touches your code. It works on sites built with Astro, the way the show builds them.

Ghost Pointer A pointer that appears on the other person's actual desktop while they share their screen, so you can show them where to click. Separate from whatever tool is doing the sharing.

Screen It Recorder A menu bar app that records every screen, and a camera if you want one, to separate files with the same mic track, so Final Cut Pro can sync them.

Complain It Jetstar A console script that makes the Jetstar live chat beep, and keep beeping, when an agent writes, so you do not lose your place in the queue.
