Free the genie
Building software meant learning to code or paying someone. Then the people behind Shopify and Airbnb said a genie had come out of the bottle. Who said the genie only works for developers? Free it from the chatbox, put it on your computer, and prompt it yourself.

Coding still required?
Building a piece of software used to mean one of two things. Learn to code, which takes years. Or pay someone, which costs money and still leaves you waiting. Most small businesses picked a third option. Do without.
Then the people who built the tools behind Shopify and Airbnb started saying out loud that a genie had come out of the bottle. You can have whatever you want. Who would not get delirious.
This Short is the question I asked back. Who said the genie only works for developers?
Prompt it yourself
I run a small business and I do not code. Tell me honestly what I can build myself with an agent on my computer this month, and what still needs a developer.
The genie works for you too
The agent on your computer does not know whether you are a developer. It knows what you asked for and what is in the folder. A developer asks for a module. You ask for a newsletter that goes out on Friday. Same genie.
The kit I made for the show is written for somebody who has never opened a terminal. Two prompts, one question, about an hour, and no password. You do not need to be any good at this. That is the whole point.
What you need is the ask in plain words, and the habit of reading what it says before you say yes.
Prompt it yourself
Here is what I want, in plain words. Tell me in one sentence what you are about to do before each step, and do not use jargon.
I can help you build yours
I build things like this with an AI agent, on my own computer. In a private session I help you do the same with your idea. Or bring it to the show, free.
Door one: the show
Got a project of your own? Apply to be a guest. We build it live, on air, and the episode stays on this site. The show is free. Nobody pays anybody. The genie install is the homework before it, so the show starts from a working agent, not from a blank laptop.
If you want the same work one to one and not published, there is the private session, and the price is on its page.
Prompt it yourself
Here is my idea for the show. Write it as one paragraph: what I want my computer to do, and what I have tried so far.
Door two: on your own, free
The kit stays free, and you do not need me to run it. The walk-through is on this site under Put the genie in the box, in the kit's own words. Put the genie on your computer, and just prompt it yourself. Stop thinking that it is for developers.
Prompt it yourself
I have never used a terminal. Walk me through getting Claude Code onto my computer, one step at a time, and wait for me to say a step worked before you start the next one.
