Found by ChatGPT

A client in the United States asked ChatGPT who the best immersive experience maker is, and it named Istvan's studio. Not because of SEO. Because of the Guinness record and the work. Here is why that matters, and how to check what the model says about you.

The client who asked ChatGPT

We had just asked the agent to audit Istvan's website for SEO when he told this story. A request had come in from the United States. When they asked the client how he found them, he said he asked ChatGPT who the best immersive experience maker is, and it told him they are the ones.

Istvan projects onto buildings on four continents, and the work has always arrived by being found. This was a new way of being found, and it had nothing to do with the website.

That is the moment this Short is about. The search box is not the only front door any more.

Prompt it yourself

Who are the best companies in my field, in my country? Then tell me what you know about my company, and where that comes from.

What the model was loaded with

My answer to him: the model answers from what it was loaded with. Your winnings matter. The Guinness record, the big projects, the things written about you. He did not find you because of your SEO. He found you because you did great stuff.

That is hard to fake, and hard to push into a model. A page of keywords does nothing there. A record, a project with a name, a mention in the press, those are what it learned from.

So keep doing those things. The record of the work is the new ranking.

Prompt it yourself

Search for my company the way a model would answer about it: which records, awards, press and named projects of mine are public, and which parts of my work have no public trace at all?

I can help you build yours

I build things like this with an AI agent, on my own computer. In a private session I help you do the same with your idea. Or bring it to the show, free.

Ask the model about yourself

Do what the client did. Ask the assistant who the best in your field is, and see whether it names you. Then ask what it knows about your company, and where that came from. The gaps are your to-do list.

The fix is not more keywords. It is public evidence. A case study page with the project's name, the award on your own site, the record where a model can read it.

Istvan already had the record. Most businesses have the work, and nothing written about it anywhere.

Prompt it yourself

Here is what my company has actually done, with names and dates. Write a public page for each one, in plain words, so that a reader and a model can both find out what we did.

Start with your own work

List the work you are proud of. Ask the model what it knows about you. Then publish the three things it could not find.

Prompt it yourself

List the public evidence of my work that a model could learn from, and tell me which three things to publish next.

Do it in the terminal

I do this with Claude Code, the AI agent in the terminal. It works in a folder on your own computer, so it reads your files every time and can look things up for you.

A web chat works too, but there you paste everything in again in every new chat.

  1. Get Claude Code

It comes with Claude Pro, US$20 a month, paid to Anthropic. Claude's plans

  2. Make a folder for it, and open it

    mkdir -p ~/projects/my-company && cd ~/projects/my-company
  3. Start the agent

    claude
  4. Ask it

Audit my website for SEO. Then, separately: if somebody asked an AI assistant who the best is in my field, would it name my company, and based on what?

Never opened a terminal? In a private session I put Claude Code on your computer with you, and you start your first idea.
