Your logo can move

My logo is three keystrokes and a cursor. I wrote it as steps, asked my agent to animate them, then asked for wild variations. Here is how a logo written as steps becomes a logo that moves.

A logo made of keystrokes

At the end of September 2026 I renamed the channel to Prompt It Yourself and needed a new logo. I did not draw one and I did not ask for a picture. I told my agent what the cursor does, key by key, and the logo is what is left on the screen.

P, I, Y. The cursor goes back, deletes the I, and stays between P and Y. That cursor is the logo. It took 29 prompts and 18 review rounds, and the first version I liked came after 26 minutes.

Because the logo is a sequence of keystrokes, and the agent built it as code, it can move. That is the whole trick of this Short, and you can do it with any mark that can be typed or drawn in steps.

Prompt it yourself

Describe my logo as a sequence of events, one step at a time, in plain words. Then build it as code from a font file, so I can change it later.

Write the steps first

Open the agent in your project folder and write the states in order. Mine is five: P with the cursor, PI, PIY, the cursor back between I and Y, then P and Y with the cursor between them.

Write what happens, not how it should feel. "Elegant" gives the agent nothing to build. "The cursor deletes the I and stays" is a thing it can draw frame by frame.

Keep the first version plain. No easing, no blink, one beat a step. You can always add motion later, and you cannot take out motion you never asked for.

Prompt it yourself

My logo, step by step: P| then PI| then PIY| then PI|Y then P|Y. Keep it as code from the font file, no easing, no blink.

Ask it to animate them

One line: animate these steps, one beat each. The agent turns the list into frames. Each keystroke lands on its beat, the delete grows the cursor into the logo, and the whole thing is a small file.

Ask for it as code, not as a video. A video is one take. Code renders the same frames every time, in any size, and a change is one line, not a new render from scratch.

Watch it once at phone size. If a step is too fast to read, say which one. "Hold the last state longer" is a better note than "make it nicer".

Prompt it yourself

Animate these steps, one beat each. Keep it as code, render it as a short video, and show me the frames side by side.

I can help you build yours

I build things like this with an AI agent, on my own computer. In a private session I help you do the same with your idea. Or bring it to the show, free.

Then ask for more variations

This is the fun part. Once the plain version works, ask it to go wild. Mine came back with six: the letters bounce in, every key slams down and shakes the frame, the letters spin, the cursor stretches like rubber, the ground flashes a colour on every key, and the deleted I shatters into pieces.

Six at once, side by side on one page. Not one at a time. With six you can point at the one you like and say why. With one you can only say "not that".

A variation is cheap when the logo is code. Each one is the same steps with a different rule for how a step happens. Asking for six costs the same as asking for one.

Prompt it yourself

Now give me more variations. Go wild: bounce, slam, spin, colour. Six versions, side by side on one page, the same steps in each.

Keep the plain one for the end

The wild ones are great for a few seconds of b-roll. The plain one is the logo. It closes every video: the letters type, the cursor deletes the I, the name appears under it.

Pick by eye, on a phone, at the size people will see it. Then ask for the ending as one file you can drop into any edit, so you never rebuild it.

Prompt it yourself

Make the plain version my ending. The logo types, then the name under it. Render it as a file I can drop into any edit.

Start with yours

Write your logo as steps. Ask for the plain animation. Then ask for six wild ones and pick. The first pass takes an evening, and the logo moves.

Prompt it yourself

Here is my logo as steps. Animate them one beat each, then give me six wild variations on one page.

Do it in the terminal

I do this with Claude Code, the AI agent in the terminal. It works in a folder on your own computer, so it reads your files every time and can look things up for you.

A web chat works too, but there you paste everything in again in every new chat.

  1. Get Claude Code

It comes with Claude Pro, US$20 a month, paid to Anthropic. Claude's plans

  2. Make a folder for it, and open it

    mkdir -p ~/projects/my-logo && cd ~/projects/my-logo
  3. Start the agent

    claude
  4. Ask it

My logo, step by step: P| then PI| then PIY| then PI|Y then P|Y. The cursor goes back, deletes the I and stays in the middle as the logo. Animate these steps, one beat each.

Never opened a terminal? In a private session I put Claude Code on your computer with you, and you start your first idea.
