She came on in August with a folder full of signed tax returns and a wish to stop sorting them by hand. Six weeks later her agents were running on a computer in her house.

Every signed return, sorted by hand. The first plan her agent made picked two of her folders and missed the rest, so she corrected it point by point. By her next visit it had moved about 300 documents into the right client folders.

The signed documents go to my Dropbox, under HelloSign. From that folder I would like to move them to the client folder. Individual clients are in Dropbox, business clients in OneDrive.

In between she built something on her own: a check of a client’s quarterly spreadsheet against her books. It found payments that had never been recorded.

It would have taken me three hours, and it did it in twenty minutes.

A bill of 250 dollars a month. Next was signing. The plan she was about to buy cost about 250 dollars a month and stopped at 50 documents. She signs around 200. So she asked her agent to argue against her own choice and find something cheaper. It came back with DocuSeal, at 20 dollars a month and 20 cents a signature, and inside two hours she was signing a test document on her phone. The time tracking did not work, and it went on the list for another try.

A laptop that goes to sleep. Her automations lived on her laptop, and when the laptop was off, they did not run. So she asked her agent which computer to buy, bought it, and fitted the memory herself. She carried the box downstairs, and it came up first time.

The router was another story. Nobody remembered its password, so reaching the machine from outside the house waits for another night.

Where she is nowTwenty three projects live on the machine at home, and it never sleeps. Her phone reaches it, and her laptop can close whenever she likes. Her new website is live on her own domain.

What they said afterwards.

I've used AI in my work for a few years now, and it's helped a lot. But through [Prompt It Yourself], Mate taught me how to actually make it mine — tailored to how I actually work, not just generic use. Before, I was just wishing for tools like automatic signed document allocation; with Mate's guidance, I had it set up within 2 hours. It genuinely felt like a wish came true.

Keeping up with the latest AI tools feels essential these days, and this is exactly the kind of practical, hands-on skill everyone should be building. Clear, patient, and genuinely useful teaching — I can hardly wait for our next session. Highly recommend to anyone who wants real, applicable skills rather than just a demo.
